Overview

BarbellKinetics is a barbell path analysis app for Olympic weightlifting. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data BarbellKinetics processes on your devices, how it is used, and your rights.

Data Stored on Your Devices

BarbellKinetics processes the following data, all of which stays on your iPhone and Apple Watch. Session data is saved locally in the app's sandboxed storage. No data is uploaded to any server, cloud service, or third party.

• Motion data — Accelerometer, gyroscope, and attitude data from your Apple Watch during recording sessions. This is used to track barbell path and analyze lift technique.
• Workout metadata — Lift type, weight, date, and rep count for each session.
• HealthKit — BarbellKinetics requests HealthKit access solely to start a workout session that keeps the Apple Watch app active in the background. BarbellKinetics does not read, store, or transmit any HealthKit health data.
• User preferences — Your last-used weight setting, stored locally via UserDefaults.

Data Sharing

BarbellKinetics does not share, sell, or transmit any personal data to third parties. There are no analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, or tracking tools in the app.

Data Transfer Between Devices

Motion data is transferred from your Apple Watch to your iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication happens directly between your paired devices over Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi. No data passes through external servers.

No Account Required

BarbellKinetics does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information such as your name or email address.

No Tracking

BarbellKinetics does not track you across apps or websites. The app does not use any advertising identifiers, fingerprinting, or analytics services.

Data Deletion

You can delete any session from within the app at any time. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data. There is no server-side data to request deletion of.

Children's Privacy

BarbellKinetics does not knowingly process data from children under 13. The app does not collect or store personal information from any user.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
