How do I compete with friends?
Tap "Host Competition" to get a 4-digit room code. Share the code with friends nearby. They tap "Join Competition" and enter the code. Both devices need to be on the same WiFi or within Bluetooth range. No internet required.
Can I play alone?
Yes. Tap "Host Competition" and start immediately — AI opponents fill empty slots. You can also do the Daily Challenge (two lift attempts per day) for a quick solo session.
How do my athletes improve?
Your athletes train automatically every day — snatch and clean & jerk. To help them grow faster, set a training schedule with accessories (tap your athlete, then tap a day on the calendar). Respond to coaching requests when they appear. Competing also builds experience that improves performance.
What do the plate colors mean?
They follow the International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) standard: Red = 25 kg, Blue = 20 kg, Yellow = 15 kg, Green = 10 kg, White = 5 kg. The color tells you how heavy the bar is at a glance.
What are the zones on the weight picker?
Zones show risk relative to your athlete's working max: Green = "Should make", Blue = "Solid chance", Yellow = "Coinflip", Orange = "Hero lift", Red = "Hail Mary". Pick based on how much risk you want.
Why can't my friend find my room?
Both devices need to be nearby (same WiFi or Bluetooth range). Check that Local Network permission is enabled: Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → BarbellKinetics Game. Try toggling Bluetooth and WiFi off and on.
Can I delete an athlete?
Yes. Swipe left on the athlete in your roster and tap Delete. This is permanent.
Is this related to the BarbellKinetics app?
Yes — both are made by the same developer. BarbellKinetics tracks real barbell lifts using your Apple Watch. BarbellKinetics Game is a companion game where you train and compete with virtual athletes. The game teaches the same concepts (bar path, technique, working max) in a fun, social format.
